Role Overview
Identity Automation, is growing and has openings for full-time Consultants. The Consultant contributes to the company’s continued success by providing consultative services for Identity Automation software products to new and existing customers. The Consultant is a trusted adviser providing solutions and leadership through a deep understanding of our products and our customer needs.
Identity Automation provides software and solutions to meet technically demanding identity, data and access management requirements for our customers. Our products become tightly integrated into customer environments and become a strategic part of their daily IT operations. As such, we must employ experienced support engineers with deep knowledge of our products as well as deep knowledge of the target systems in those customer environments. The systems include, but are not limited to, directory services, databases, email systems, web services and hosts. Our support engineers must be able to troubleshoot product issues as well recognize environmental issues to assist customers by determining root cause and advising them on absolute solutions.
Responsibilities
- Work with customers to resolve issues related to our deployments
- Work with Identity Automation consultants to during projects to resolve issues related to our products and the target systems in the customer’s environment
- Provide technical responses to Identity Automation sales staff to assist in sales process
- Work with engineers to resolve product bugs
- Perform testing for new product releases
- Create / update customer documentation
- Maintain monitoring solution for managed customers
- Provide pro-active support for managed customers (health-checks, upgrades, etc.)
Skills
- Microsoft AD Implementation / Support
- Microsoft Server Administration
- Microsoft PowerShell Scripting
- Familiarity with database servers
- Familiarity with virtualization technology (Hyper-V, VMWare, etc.)
- Attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, superior time management skills and ability to work with minimal supervision
- Good oral and written communication skills
- BONUS
- Familiarity with application servers
- Familiarity with other Directory Services (eDirectory, SunONE, etc.)
- Development experience (any platform - .net, PHP, Perl, etc)
Experience
At least 7 years of experience in technical support and/or consulting.
