We are hiring Linux Engineers with a degree in Computer Science and/or MIS.

Role Overview

Identity Automation, is growing and has openings for full-time Linux Engineers. Linux Engineer’s contribute to the company’s continued success by providing infrastructure consulting services to our customers. The Linux Engineer’s chief role is to implement solutions and provide up-sell and cross-sell information to the sales team.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with customers to define requirements, design architecture, implement solution and perform knowledge transfer training
  • Participate in sales calls
  • Provide input for sales proposals
  • Research problems using online and printed resources
  • Produce weekly time and status reports
  • Follow administrative tasks to completeness

Skills

  • MUST have deep Linux/UNIX (SUsE and RedHat preferred) and Windows Server knowledge
  • Load Balancing experience with Linux Virtual Server and ldirector
  • MySQL database administration
  • Firewall and SAN administration
  • Attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, superior time management skills and ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • BONUS
    • Active involvement in the open source and free software communities
      •      
    • Knowledge of any of scripting languages such as BASH, PHP, Perl, Python, etc
      •      
    • Knowledge of Novell NetWare
      •      
    • Knowledge of OES2

Experience

  • At least 5 years of practical hands-on technical experience
  • Experience with network routers, switches, firewalls, VPN, DNS, and LDAP servers
  • Planning and execution of Disaster Recovery plans
  • Experience with Virtualization Implementations
  • One or more Directory Services (eDirectory, Active Directory, etc.)
