ARMS Sponsorship
The ARMS Sponsorship Module is part of the Identity Automation suite of tools called Access Request Management System (ARMS). ARMS Sponsorship provides a way for organizations to manage the lifecycle of “external” user accounts. An external user account is any account that must be managed outside of an authoritative system (e.g. HRMS). Typical examples of such accounts are contractors, temps and volunteers. With this system, designated Sponsors will be able to create, expire and delete accounts, as well as re-attest accounts and transfer accounts to other sponsors.
The module also provides a means whereby a manager can perform sponsor actions for sponsored accounts belonging to their direct reports. Administrators can also designate Sponsorship Administrators who have the ability to manage any sponsored account in the system. This function is typically used by a Customer Service department to help other Sponsors with managing their accounts.
