The ARMS Workflow Module is part of the Identity Automation suite of tools called Access Request Management System (ARMS).  ARMS Workflow provides organizations with a means to manage requests for resources within the organization. A resource can be anything from systems access to tangible items such as a mobile phone or office key.

Following are the capabilities of the ARMS Workflow module:

  • Dashboard that shows current access/status of any resource requested via workflow (maintained indefinitely)
  • Dashboard viewable by individual, manager, help-desk or auditor
  • Supports selection of multiple resources within a single request
  • Provides additional information about resource such as Resource Owner and Data Classification
  • Tracks the status of resource so that you can only request a resource once, new resource requests are “grants” and existing resource requests are “revokes”
  • Implements resource dependency checks as well as resource conflicts
  • Supports selection of multiple tasks for approval, deny or re-assignment
  • Provides additional information about resource such as Resource Owner and Data Classification
  • Re-Attestion functionality that expires resource access without resource owner re-attesting the access
  • Workflow definition supports multiple workflow approval use cases with a single definition
  • Categories, Resources, Data Classifications and workflow definitions are managed within this module
